Please Pray

Hi everyone!

My girlfriend Erin called me last night to ask that I add some friends of the family to any prayer lists that I could. A young family of five recently found out that their 4-month-old son has stage 4 cancer and has to undergo chemotherapy. This little angel has a huge tumor wrapped throughout his intestines and liver, and they can't do surgery for fear that he may bleed to death. The doctors are not hopeful about the chemo, so they are preparing for the worst.

The parents, Adam and Megan, have two other children. Please pray hard for this family and 4-month-old Seth. Pray peace for the parents and for a miracle to occur during Seth's chemo. Adam was just ordained, so praise God that this family knows the Lord!

I know I promised an update and photos of Baby B, but after hearing about this, it just didn't feel right not to mention this first. Having healthy children is a blessing we all take for granted. I can hardly think about this family without breaking down into tears. How can a 4-month-old get stage-4 cancer? He's been alive for such a short time.

So please take a few minutes to say a prayer. And then go give your kids a big hug!

So sad, Lisa. Thank you for sharing that. Do they have a website? I know caringbridge.org and carepages.org are set up specifically for this purpose, and they're free. It's probably too overwhelming for them to think about right now, but they're great sites for people to encourage the family with prayers and well wishes. If they do set one up, would you pass it along to us?
Praying for sweet baby Seth...we cannot even begin to understand...

Oh gosh, this just tugs at my heart! I am praying... anything is possible with God! That baby is fearfully and *wonderfully* made.

I haven't stopped thinking about this. I just breaks my heart. And when I hear stories like this I NEED to know why! I want to hear there was a cause, something that could have been prevented just for my own sake so I don't worry about all the "what ifs" that I can't do anything about.

Of course I don't mean to imply it's anyone's fault or I want it to be someones fault. Just knowing there are these awful things we can't prevent or control are too much for me to handle!

That poor family. Keep us updated.

We're having a sermon series at church right now called Armor Up! It's all about spiritual warfare and how satan can attack when we seem to be at our "spiritual best" I see that happening here. Seth's dad just getting ordained is prime time for an attack on their faith. So, satan look out! There are multitudes of prayer warriors getting ready for battle against you on this one! Thanks for sharing Lisa. And, Baby Seth and family...consider yourself covered in prayer from this warrior in New Lenox!
