Let's Talk About It: Dreams

I've always wondered what Emma dreams about. In fact, I can't wait until she understands what a dream is so she can tell me all about it. Still, I ask her every morning. To my surprise, I've been getting answers lately...

Mom: Did you sleep good last night, Emma?

Emma: Yeah!!!

M: What did you dream about?

E: Ummmm, nothing. [sigh] Just angels and butterflies.

Now, I'm not banking on the fact that she really knew what she was saying, but it was still so sweet to hear. Angels and butterflies... if you ask me, that's what every little girl's dreams should be made of!

And then I ask her again this morning, and she tells me she dreamed about "horses, pigs and cows."

"What were they doing?" I ask.

She replies, "Eating grass."

Doesn't have quite the same ring to it, does it?

LOL!!! Too funny! I wish our dreams were that simple, don't you?I think it's funny that you can't wait to hear about her dreams too...you obviously don't remember how crazy I drove mom! Ha! Be careful what you wish for! ;)

I remember asking Luke once when he was about 3 years old what he dreamed about..."Puppies. Puppies licking me." :) He was so dang cute saying that! :)

Josh (my 9 year old) dreams only of sports. He's either making all the home runs or all the slam dunks or all the touchdowns. I tell ya ... it's sports all the time for that kid. Now, butterflies & angels - that's my kind of dream!

Awww, funny cute.

I ask Rose what she dreams about and it's always "clowns and robots" - two of her favourite things. I think that she did once dream about a clown, as she went looking for it one morning, after getting up and said she'd been playing chase with him. :)
