What a great picture! I just love it!! I found your blog through another (don't you just love how that happens?) and just had to leave a comment. My son, 16 months, was also born with MMC SB. He is doing amazing and I couldn't imagine my life without him! He is crawling and rolling all over the place and is working on standing! He had a shunt placed when he was 3 weeks old and is so so smart!! I just wanted to let you know that our family is praying for yours...and also, that you are going through the hardest part of this right now. The second you meet your little girl you really will wonder what all of the worrying was about. :) If you ever have any questions, I would love to answer them. My email address is leighegibbs@sbcglobal.net
Just wanted to let you know I was up in the night with our littlest (who for some reason wasn't sleeping), with you on my mind and in my prayers. Hope you, Brooklyn, and family are all doing well today.
I am a great many things: a "mom in progress" to three beautiful girls; a wife to my best friend; a daughter of Christ; a writer; a lover of good coffee; a recovering perfectionist; and a hopeful romantic learning to find peace and joy in God alone. This is my story and His story.
All three of my children are gifts from God, but in 2010, He gave our family a precious blessing named Brooklyn who has Spina Bifida. Through her life, God is shaping our family into something more beautiful. He has given us a testimony to share, and we want to share it.
Here are a few selected posts about our journey so far...but there are lots more if you want to go searching :) Hope

Love it! We've had the same exact scene at our house only the wisemen usually arrive via dump truck. :-)
